Directions to Independence High School
DIRECTIONS FROM BRENTWOOD/FRANKLIN/NASHVILLE AREA
1. I65 South to Exit 61 (Peytonsville Road)
2. Turn right (west) onto Peytonsville Road
3. Go through the light at 431.
4. At the next intersection, you will come to a stop sign.
5. Veer left, which will put you on Highway 31 South.
6. IHS is the second drive on the right (just past Tollgate Village).
From exit 61 off of I65. It is approximately 4.1 miles to the entrance of the school.
DIRECTIONS FROM COLUMBIA/840 AREA
1. I65 North to Exit 59B (TN-840 West)
2. Turn right (north) onto Highway 31 (the end of TN 840).
3. Promptly get into the left turn lane, which is for the entrance to IHS.
ALTERNATE FROM COLUMBIA AREA
1. Follow Highway 31 to Springhill and Thompson's Station.
2. Stay on Highway 31.
3. School is on the left just pass the new TN-840 interchange..
FROM THE WESTERN KY/CLARKSVILLE, TN AREA
1. Take I-24 east to Nashville
2. Merge onto I-65 south and follow the directions from Nashville
FROM CHATTANOOGA/MURFREESBORO:
1. Take I-24 West toward Nashville
2. Merge onto TN-840 West (Exit 74A) toward Franklin.
3. Stay on TN-840 to the end (approx. 4 miles).
4. Turn right (north) onto US-31, and the school is the first left turn lane.
FROM BIRMINGHAM:
1. Take I-65 north to TN-840 West, Exit #59B.
2. Follow TN-840 to the end (approx. 4 miles).
3. Turn right (north) onto US-31.
4 . The school is on your left.
FROM FLORENCE, AL
1. Take HWY 72 to Athens
2. Follow Birmingham directions
FROM MEMPHIS, TN
1. Take I-40 East toward Nashville
2. Merge onto I-440 South toward Birmingham
3. Merge onto I-65 South
4. Follow the directions from Nashville
FROM KNOXVILLE, TN
1. Take 1-40 West toward Nashville
2. Merge onto TN-840 (Exit 235)
3. Follow TN-840 to the end (approx. 46 miles)
4. Turn right (north) on US-31
5. The school is on the left
